Worrier

FRUSTRATED with IntenseDebate. I set it up correctly, thought I was good to go, commented on a couple of blogs last week....but they didn't show up in my account?! It wouldn't stress me out so much if we weren't graded on comments. I think I've finally figured it out, but did that happen to any one else?

Any one feel like they're putting a lot of time into this but that it's not necessarily transferring over to something Dr. Burton is seeing?

I've really got to buckle down and regurgitate every Shakespeare thought, idea, reference, etc. I am coming across. Not too pleasant of an image...or necessarily a post for that matter, but I just had to get it out there. A couple of weeks in and I am more than uneasy about my grade.

I agree, it's kind of difficult to know how much we need to do for the grade, so I'm just trying to read through as many blogs as I can, comment on things I find interesting, and search for Shakespeare stuff like crazy. I think if we're spending more than the two hours outside of class for every hour inside, then it's probably too much. Good luck!

Thanks Johnny! I'm hoping to simplify things by planning so it doesn't seem so overwhelming.

I'm also not entirely sure how IntenseDebate works. I can see the comments I've made by clicking on My Account and then on "View My Public Profile" on the right side--does that work for you? Other than that, though, I don't know if we should be looking at other people's comments or using IntenseDebate for anything else.

AGREED! Intense Debate has been immensely frustrating and this is divulging my lack of intelligence when it comes to where all things technological are concerned but I am having difficulty uploading a picture to mine! However, I did discover that if you have any questions the have a help link. They work through email and are very helpful!

Thanks for being brave enough to vent your frustrations. Intense Debate is there so that I can easily follow the comments you are making, and so that you can easily respond to comments you are getting on your own posts or posting on others' blogs (since it comes right to your email). The goal is simply to facilitate better interaction and better accountability. Remember, if you end up spending more time on something technical, then you'd better just ask for help so that you can keep your focus on the content (Shakespeare). I'm here to help, so don't hesitate to be in touch.
